... catching the news from Paris, from COP21.  It's sounding really positive.   That an agreement has been reached is in itself something stunningly brilliant. In twelve days to go (with 195 countries involved in the negotiations!) from over a thousand potential wrangling points - i.e.the bits in the draft agreement which were in brackets, signalling yet to be settled, to come down to zero points of disagreement ... I have no words!  a huge achievement. 

and there are many, many really good points about the draft agreement, including the ambition to keep warming to 1.5%, acceptance of monitoring... but you'll see all those in the media; I don't need to tediously repeat.  What I wanted to say was that a key factor in achieving agreement seems to have been the use of a dispute resolution mechanism from South Africa, the indaba.  John Vidal, blogger at the Guardian website gave...:
