Saturday morning
Nov. 14th, 2015 12:50 pmLast night I was talking happily with a friend about her coming trip to Paris (next year) - about the ex-railway walk now called the Promenade Plantee, and how she planned to walk along it - it makes this morning's terrible news feel very immediate. Borders are closing - France and Belgium - and I imagine more. Special solidarity to
azdak and my friend P. and all those working to resettle refugees - this is going to make it so much tougher. also those working for the Paris conference next month.
editing to add: okay, in the spirit of not letting cruelty and rottenness dominate the post, here's a picture of a building which can be seen from the Promenade mentioned.
I think it's a highly dodgy image for a police station, myself. She thought it was great to see such verve and decorativeness still happening in architecture. Opinions? Or suggestions for other great not-well-known things to see walking around Paris?
