Mildly Ungracious; Majorly Unromantic

The South China Morning Post reports that crabby singles, presumably fed up with the unceasing be-coupled-or-be-damned onslaught of advertising (or social pressure?) have used crowdfunding to spike the plans of local romantics planning to spend an evening á deux in a Shanghai cinema showing the romance movie Beijing Love Story for Valentine's Day. 

Not at all gracious, long-suffering or seemly, but... I really like that it's snark with style!  :D
